About Me
Shelley-Anne Abbas
Life coach for people who are ready to discover what is possible.
A little backstory
I grew up and lived most of my young adult life heavily involved in sports; I got to travel the world as a figure skater, meet amazing people and reach this ultimate goal I had for myself: to become a professional ice skater. As a skater and athlete, you are always setting and chasing your next goal. This way of being has followed me throughout my life: I always had to plan and get to what was next.
Once I had a Masters’ degree in Conflict Resolution, a wonderful supportive husband, two beautiful and amazing children, and a great career…. I found myself wondering what was next and wondering if there was next or if this was it. I was caught up in life and the years were passing me by. I was content, but I knew I was not living my life’s purpose. I felt good but not great. I had stopped setting goals, which also meant that I’d stopped feeling that high of achieving them as well. I loved being a mom and wife, but it felt like that’s all I was.
That’s when I hired myself a coach.
I’d always been curious about life coaching and was not even sure what to expect. I had nothing to lose, so I jumped in with both feet and got to work. I had a great coach who helped me make some difficult decisions, but they felt right. I mustered up my courage and completed my coaching training at CoActive and have never looked back. I was right, there was more to life than what I was doing.
I’m in a place now where I feel a fulfilled and energized. I know that I am now living my life's purpose, which is to help support others with their life journey. I believe in coaching and I am a product of what is possible with on-going coaching.
I now live each day with a renewed sense of purpose, and it feels fantastic. I am passionate about helping people live their best life.
